About Us

Looking for a one-of-a-kind
fishing & hunting trip?
Look no further!

Situated on the Wheeler River, we are a 136 mile flight from the float plane base at Otter Lake.  Our camp is extremely quiet and isolated with no other camps in the area. Whether fishing, hunting, or enjoying a family get-away, you will find the natural amenities that only Northern Saskatchewan can offer are unbeatable!

Your Exclusive Fly-In Fishing Adventure Awaits

Wheeler River Lodge is a secluded, well-equipped camp that caters to only one group at a time in a modern lodge.

There is low fishing pressure for northern pike, walleye, lake trout, Arctic grayling and whitefish, and endless sheltered lakes and river system to explore. Caretaker/guide on site.

Bring a camera to capture eagles in flight, osprey fishing, playful otters, or big game such as moose, caribou and black bear.

Enjoy a fresh walleye dinner capped off with a slow float down the river at sunset.

We have operated as catch and release since we opened in 1988.  Barbless hooks are now mandatory.  You are welcome to eat fish while in camp.

We are open from May 25 through October, and trips are five days long.
